Shetland born comedian and improviser Marjolein has been on the rise
Awarded No. 3 in The List's 'Hot 100' as one of the top Scottish cultural contributors of 2023. Marjolein was also a finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2022 and won 2nd Place in the Funny Women Stage Awards. Marjolein was also awarded Scots Speaker of the Year in 2022.

Her latest Edinburgh Fringe Show was a sell-out run in the Stand Comedy Club. And earned two award nominations. As well as being one of the top reviewed shows of the 2023 Fringe, recieving numerous five and four star reviews.
As well as gigging full time in stand up, improvised comedy and storytelling, Marjolein is a regular panelist on the BBC's Breaking The News and The Good, The Bad and the Unexpected. Marjolein has also recently performed stand up on Dave Channel's Rosie Jones Disability Comedy Extravaganza and the BBC's Scotland Stands Up and acted in the BBC's award winning Shetland
